A Puppy Ice-Cream Cone???

Yes, there is a place here that gives out a free puppy-cone!!! :)

Lappin' it up!

Its still snowing, I've been in the house now for 2 days, and to say I have cabin fever is a bit of an understatement. I've never wanted sunshine so bad! The day (hopefully on Sunday) that I get to get out and go for a nice, long run will be the best day of my life!!! Happy Friday! :)

Snow Day!!

Well, we are officially SNOWED IN! :) And I couldn't be happier! School was cancelled...hooray!!! The only little problem that I have when it snows, rains, or is even a little chilly outside, my sweet Belle won't go outside for the life of her! I let her out there, hoping she will use the restroom, but she just stands there and looks at me. She doesn't move. So then I just have to pick her up and bring her back inside! ha! On another note, our stew turned out UH-MAZING, so I'm sure we'll be feasting on that all day! One of Don's friends wants to come over & cook later, but we'll see how the weather pans out, I will NOT be driving in ice, that's for certain!

Leave your boots at the door, please! ;)
Mmmm..stew. I promise its way yummier than it looks!

Crescent rolls...

SNOW!

Pretty goofy picture of me, haha

She won't even put her paws in it...
RANDOM: I found this lamp at Hobby Lobby yesterday for only $4! Cute, eh?

If any of y'alls days are snowy, I hope you're cuddled up and warm! And be safe on the road! Tootle Lou! :)

Wishful Wednesday - 3 min.

I just love Wednesday's just because they're so wishful! ha!

Kelsey started this over at http://kelseyandgabriel.blogspot.com/ so definitely check her out!
'I wish' .... I could spend three minutes in Jessica Simpson's shoes!

Hmmm...why you ask? Well, I really don't know, haha! I have always loved her, from newlyweds, to John Mayer, to Tony Romo, and even to that smashing pumpkins dude. I went to the State Fair last year, and she was one of the entertainers, and that girl can sing! She is also GORGEOUS (and WAY cuter in person!), AND she has the cutest Lil nephew in the world! Not to mention, she is from TEXAS!

Short post but its supposed to **SNOW** here maybe tonight, and tomorrow, so I got up early this morning and started (with the help of my bf) my first STEW! I'm so excited! I have a feeling its going to be delicious! I might just have to post some pictures ;) I also have a feeling its going to be a grand day, I'm so blessed y'all!!! :) :)

PS! All of you that read my blog, shoud read my friends blog: www.nicolezunker.blogspot.com and leave her some lovin'!!!!!! She's new at this (as am I)!

Please Pray.

As I sit here, almost speechless, with tears in my eyes, its time for me to sleep, because I have an early morning. But can I just say something?? I hate cancer. I hate what it does to people's bodies. I hate it. It takes sweet souls left and right. I hate it. One of my boyfriends childhood friends, John Means, passed away today. He was diagnosed in August, & its January. I met him once, but my Don has known him since they were very little. The hurt I saw in his eyes when he told me that John had passed, was indescribable. It just plain sucks. Its absolutely hurt me to the deepest part of me that could even hurt.

A very good good family friend of mine, Tonya Cano, has been fighting cancer for a couple of years now. I just found out today as well, that she has been in the ICU in Houston since December 26th. She got a SMALL cold, that turned into something so much more. I can't explain how much it hurts to hear that. She is one of the sweetest people I have ever met, she took care of my little brother for about 3 years when he was a toddler, and he just loves her. We all love her. Her husband loves her, her 3 young daughters love her, so why is this happening??

WHY does God pick people like that to suffer?? Is it because He wants them in His kingdom?? But that just sounds selfish to me. But, we have to trust in Him, right??? I get confused when I think about it too much, so I'll just stop now. A bible verse to help: Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us.

To know John is in a better place, makes me feel better. I pray that Don can understand that, too. To know all these sweet people are in a better place, rejoicing, and singing with the angels is comforting. I just wish they could be here on Earth with us. I wish cancer didn't exist.

To sweet Miss. Tonya, keep fighting, girl. We're all rooting for you and we all love you very much. Matthew 4:23 Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.

I pray that God will heal Tonya. And I know He will, because He is good.
PLEASE say a quick pray that Tonya's body is healed, & she beats this. Power Of Prayer.

NEVER take a day of your life for granted. God is giving us all of these days, take advantage, because all of those people with cancer are only praying and wishing they could live THEIR day to day life. I'm definitely going to practice what I preach when writing this and not take even ONE second of my abudant and very blessed life for granted. Yes, there may be obstacles, but that's when you have to push through them, have faith, pray, and remember that God is always with you.

OK, I'm very new at this, so all the rest of the blogs I read have already been given this award! Have fun!

7 Lovely Things About ME! :)
1. I'm from the GREAT state of TEXAS! I love everything about it, the cowboys, the state flower...the bluebonnet, the word "y'all", every one's friendly nature, and of course the ole twang accent that most everyone has here. This picture makes me SO happy, my grandmothers favorite flower is the bluebonnet, and this is what I want my flower to be at my wedding!

2. I LOVE really big, coffee cups. Why? I have no idea. Ha.

3. I went and saw 'It's Complicated" last night with one of my girlfriends, and I loved it! It was super cute and girly.

4. I have one foot bigger than the other. When I was in 8th grade, I played basketball, and during a game a girl tripped me causing me to fall, and CRACK MY GROWTH PLATE. Not fun. I was in a cast for about 6 weeks, and there was absolutely nothing they could do for my "little" foot, haha. In my left foot I wear a 7 1/2-8 and in my right I wear a 7. Not that big of a difference, but I have noticed it in TOMS, because the shoe slips up a little on my little foot. Hehe. PS. I LOVE TOMS!!!!!

5. I'm super organized, a little OCD, and pretty much a clean freak...sometimes. When school starts, you better believe I have my planner with different colored highlighters marking all kinds of different stuff, ranging from BLUE=Tests, ORANGE=Homework, PINK=Fun, and so on and so on. I LOVE a clean house, clean sheets, a clean dog, clean car...I think you get the point. Sometimes, I get super busy and things can get a little messy, but I'm definitely your Type A personality.
6. My boyfriend and I do a "daily devotional for couples"...daily. My sweet, sweet, future mother-in-law ;) gave us the book for Christmas and I love it! 7. On a typical Friday night, 90% of the time, you can find me on the couch, snuggled with a blanket, my bf and puppy, a fire (if its cold out), a good movie, and some take-out. Its my all-time favorite thing to do. The other 10%, I'm out with my friends. I'm SUCH a home body, I love being home, reading, writing, or doing something low-key. One of my friends is completely opposite from me, she hates being home and ALWAYS has to be doing something, and we just don't get each other! ha!
I hope everyone has an awesome week!!! WHO ELSE IS MORE THAN READY FOR SPRING?!?!?! :D

Somebody call me a Waaaambulance!

I should have knocked on wood when I was bragging about my amazing immune system last week to all of my sick friends, because I'm definitely not feeling up to par. It started yesterday, I just wasn't feeling myself, but I blew it off because I very rarely get sick. Don and I went to see 'Book of Eli' and in the middle of it, I thought I was going to faint! Not a good feeling, by the way. OH, & I definitely recommend that movie to everyone! It was so good!!! Sooo, I woke up this morning, thinking I was feeling much better, until lunch. I had no appetite, which let me tell ya, is VERY unlike me. Thank goodness I'm home though. Tonight will probably consist of: soup, Real Housewives of Orange County, some Grey's Anatomy, Benydryl PM, and SLEEP. Did I mention my sweetheart of a boyfriend is sick, too??? I told him not to drink after me, dang it. Who ever will take care of me? :( I wish I had my mom at a time like this!

On one last note (that everyone is probably tired of hearing about), what do y'all think of Heidi Montag's "make-over"??? Like whoa.

BEFORE

AFTER

I am FOR SURE this is teaching young girls and even women to love THEIR OWN bodies. Gag me...

Wishful Wednesday

'I wish' .... I could have worn the gown that Fergie wore at the 67th Annual Golden Globes Award!

She was on almost ALL the Best Dressed List, and on a couple Worst Dressed just because some thought it looked like a prom dress from the back. BUT, I LOVE IT! It is SO feminine and classy, and I love the middle, bust part. I also love the color, because I know for a fact that lavender suits me well. :) I can't wait to see who everyone else picks!

OH, Happy Day!

Hey y'all!! Happy Tuesday! Have any of you just had "one of those days" where EVERYTHING seems to go perfect, you're happy every minute, and you feel like you can conquer the WORLD?!?! Well, let me tell ya, I am definitely having "one of those days" and I love it! I wish everyday could be this perfect. I have no one to thank but the good Lord up above, so thank you. :) I'm so excited for tonight because The Biggest Loser is on (yaya!), and my boyfriend and I decided (this is weird, but when I woke up this morning, the FIRST thing I did was call Don, and tell him I was craving some Italian food) to call-in Johnny Carinos for dinner! Yes, I know that even the smallest things make me the happiest and it's almost a little ridiculous, but that's what makes life so great, right? Just a few things that made me smile today:

Fresh, new mechanical pencils :D

Sonic Happy Hour

THIS sweet puppy face :)

And a phone call from this lady
I have baby fever 24/7 and it doesn't seem to be getting ANY better. The sad part about all of this, is that I'm not even married, so the chances of me getting preggo are um...zero to none? Ha! Bummer. I know WHO I want to marry, he just needs to put a ring on it. Ha! True Story: When I was in 2nd grade, I had this baby doll named Morgana (she was a real beauty), and I did everything for that sweet girl. I fed her, changed her diaper, burped her....I even made my mom "baby-sit" her when I was in piano lessons. Well, on a trip down to East Texas with my grandparents that summer, I LEFT HER in a restaurant. Worst day of my life, or so I thought. Anyways, I think that has stuck with me, and I'm just longing to replace Morgana, haha! I think I need a baby-sitting job...or something.

On a completely different note, I'm urging y'all to read Kelly's blog at http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/. I love her day-to-day life with her sweet daughter, I love how she incorporates God into EVERY aspect of her life, & she is such an inspiration to me. I couldn't get to sleep last night, so I went back and was reading her blog from a few years ago, and wow!

Before I keep up my rambling, and bore all of you to death, I'll stop while I'm ahead. :) I'm excited for Wishful Wednesday!

The Perfect Sunday

Hi, blog friends! :) I hope everyone had a G-reat weekend, mine was pretty superb, but Sunday was even better. Saturday night out with the girls was fun, but when 1:30am hit, I was more than ready to hit the sack! Ha! I'm such an old lady.

Sunday, I woke up early and went to church with my sweet boyfriend and his cousin, Katie who I've known forever, and then of course we went to lunch at this gourmet pizza place. YUM! I just LOVE Sundays, you get to worship God, sing songs, pray, and listen to your pastor give you advice that last through the week! Not to mention, its a day to relax with your loved ones. Speaking of church, if any of y'all ever have a chance to listen to the most PERFECT sermon I've ever heard, go to http://http//www.experiencelifenow.com/series.php and listen to the sermon 30 Days to Live, the date will be 1/17/10 (it's actually not up yet, but should be in the next few days). It seriously changed my life, and I think many of you will appreciate it. So check it out and let me know what y'all think!! So, today I have been really just praying, thanking God for what I have, and really soaking it ALL in, because after you listen to that sermon, you won't ever want to take another moment of your life for granted. Also, school starts tomorrow, so we're all fixing to be really busy!

The Bachelor will be on SOON!!! I just love watching that silly show! haha! A few of my favorites so far are Tenly and Ali, they're so sweet and seem to be the most genuine. But, the impatient person I am, read the spoilers and the girl good ol' Jake picks, is well, quite a shock!

Well, I'm off to decide what's for dinner, and prepare for the week. Have a wonderful week!! PS. I'm leaving y'all with some totally random pictures, just because I don't put that many up. :)
Katie and I in September. We're silly.
Don & I at a Rangers game this past summer. :)
Us before the Dallas Cowboys first game in their new stadium! Awesome experience.
My and my Nannie (and Belle!). We're like 2 peas in a pod. :) Love her soooo much!
My sister, brother, and me on the 4th of July!
My princess, Belle with one of her BFF's Ryley (my old roomies pup)

And lastly, I snapped this picture last summer in my hometown. I have no idea why, but I love it!

Please Help

As all of you know, disaster has struck in Haiti. They are expecting over 100,000 people to have been killed by the horrible earthquake. There are SO many ways y'all can help, an easy way is to text "Haiti" to 90999 to give $10 to the Red Cross. It will be on your next phone bill. OR you can text "disaster" to 90999 to give $10 to Compassion's disaster relief program. They will be working directly with the local churches who know where these families live and will be providing immediate relief to them. OR, and probably most importantly, we can PRAY. The power of prayer can be unbelievable.

A very special woman by the name of Kelly, has been a part of compassion and is doing an INCREDIBLE thing on her blog. For every person that comments on her Haiti blog AND HAS DONATED, she is giving $1 to the compassion organization. This will be up to $1000. How many of us can say we're giving away that amount of money?? I know I sure can't. To learn more, go visit her blog at http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/. $10 doesnt seem like a whole lot, but think about it, if 40 us of did this, that little amount of money could be a WHOLE MEAL to a family that has lost EVERYTHING. Here's a direct Bible verse from Kelly's blog: "If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." 1 John 3:17-18

My very first, Wishful Wednesday!

'I wish' .... I had the start up funds to build that company I have always dreamt about, and it would be... a bakery!

I know, I'm such a girl, but I've never had a dream to start a company so I couldn't really think of anything, besides a cute, girly, wedding makin', cupcake bakin' bakery! Hmm.....

HOW FUN!!!
** I have to do this on Tuesday evening because Wednesday is going to be a very busy day for me! :) Happy Wednesday! :)

Happy Birthday, Alicia!!!

Today is my boyfriends brother girlfriends birthday, aka my favorite future sister-in-law!! :) She is a beautiful person inside and out, and I have NO idea what the heck I would do without her! So thank you for always being there, and always being YOU! I hope you have a great day because you deserve it! Love you! :)

Sorry the pics aren't too clear, but here is the lady herself!

Too bad they live in Midland :( I would love to hang out with her on her special day, BUT I'm there in spirit. :)

My plans for today include: Working out, organizing my closet, going to hang out with one of my girlfriends (she got a new puppy named Bella!), taking my Belle for her walk, cooking dinner, reading, and bed. Ha! I'm sure you all wanted to know that. Oh, & I'm super excited to participate in Wishful Wednesday on the Seattle Smith's! Go visit her adorable blog, http://kelseyandgabriel.blogspot.com/. I'm going to leave you with a picture of my little fur-baby because she is just too precious for words! :)
