Random Babble

Now, for some fun random talk. HA.

1. I am getting a little stressed because I still have quite a bit to get done before I leave---just thought you'd like to know. ;) I started "deep cleaning" my little place last week (WHY??) & now that I've started, I can't stop til I'm done! I'm talking...cleaning out closets, touching up paint, cleaning blinds, fans, etc. I'm a crazy person. At least when I get home from Christmas break, everything will be spotless!

2. I have pretty much have ALL my Christmas shopping done, besides a few little things I need to still get. YAY ME! Now, the fun part---a night of WRAPPING!

3. Lovin' this color by Essie. Forgive me, I can't remember the name.

4. I'm thinking I'm going to need a mani/pedi before this weekend---bright RED! Perfect for Christmas in my opinion.

5. Last Friday night, we went to what's called a "Winter Wonderland" at this really neat & new neighborhood. They are bran new, modernized houses---but y'all, they look like they are straight from the olden days, like plantation homes. But then there are some that look like they belong in a movie. Perfect little homes, in a perfect little neighborhood.. Here are some pictures:

ANYWAYS---they have horse drawn carriage rides, fake snow everywhere, pictures with Santa, music, & hot chocolate. We had a lot of fun! Dinner & drinks after! :)

6. Last night we met up with D's brother & his girlfriend to have a pizza date, & to look at Christmas lights!

After dinner, we went to Starbucks & grabbed some coffee + plus a cake pop for moi. Lets just say---I get car sick super easy. The place we went to was up & down UP & DOWN. Cue Jennie getting CAR SICK! How lame. As soon as I got home, I was fine. I  was glad my pizza & coffee didn't come right back up, tmi ;)

7. My girl Jessica Simpson makes pregnate look GOOD, she is glowing. I've been a HUGGGGGE fan since her first TV series with ::sigh:: Nick Lachey.

8. I'm really looking forward to making gingerbread houses with my sister & niece this weekend! Christmas activities are so.much.fun.

Well, I'm off to grab Starbucks---my current addiction at the moment. :)

Here it is...

... a whole lot of mumble jumble. Ready? ha. 

1. It's a snow day here people!!!! Let me just say - when it snows in Texas, everything shuts down. But, I love it. This is Ellie's first snow & she LOVES it. When I took her on her walk this morning (bad idea on my part) she acted like a crazed dog! Jumping, running through it as fast as she could -- it was hilarious. My other pup Belle can't stand to get her paws wet, so after she did her business, her furry butt was back inside.

2. This is my view since it IS a snow day. Pure.Bliss. Working from home, drinking coffee, & blogging. Multi-tasking at it's finest. ;)

3. I proudly made my first pound cake this weekend. It was soooo good & fattening! Sorry for the crazed look on my face, ha!

4. I'm loving this new fingernail polish I purchased by Essie, in marshmallow. I was a little nervous to try an all white on my nail, but I have got so many compliments!

5. Let's talk coffee. I looooove coffee, but I HAVE to have creamer in it. I usually keep a couple of options for me in the fridge, but as you can see here, I have 5. ha! My fav so far is the Pumpkin Spice. But word on the street is that there are 2 new Holiday flavors I MUST try. Also, I love spices. So, I decided to try a little cinnamon sugar & Pumpkin Spice {can't get enough of pumpkin, can i?} in my coffee grounds & it was YUM! Highly suggest.

6. There is nothin' better than a mound of marshmallows on a steamy cup of hot chocolate on a winter day.

7. I made "brinner" (breakfast for dinner) the other night for my boy & I --- & let's just say I didn't disappoint. ;) Sausage balls, pancakes, & eggs oh my!! It's one of my favorite things to eat for dinner, & one of my favorite childhood memories.

8. Pie.Bar.Fun. Need I say more?? My friendy Lauren & I randomly found this pie bar called, The Choc'late Mousse a couple months ago that we finally decided to try! It's bran new, SO SO cozy inside, & who doesn't like different variations of pie?! I chose the chocolate mousse, & gingerbread crust. We will be going back.

9. Michael Buble {Holiday} on Pandora is my fav. 'Nuff said.

10. This isn't random at all, but we have a little dilemma. My 6 yo pup Belle has gained alittletoomuchweight. So, she needs to go on a diet. BUT - my other almost 1 yo pup Ellie, is TOO skinny (Belle eats all her food, but don't tell her I told you) & needs to GAIN weight. So we have had to start feeding them at separate times, with different food. Ellie is loving the eating twice a day, but poor Belle only eats once a day. I think we've all felt her pain before --- diets are SO not fun.

Such a random post, but that seems to be my life right now. Happy Monday & stay warm! :)

10 of 'em

Phew! I feel like I'm at a loss for "blog" words, so bullets; errrr numbers - it will be.

1. Have I ever mentioned how much I LURRRRVE fresh, clean sheets? So much that {almost} every Wednesday, I wash them. Along with all my blankets. There is almost nothing better than curling up in warm, fresh-out-of-the-dryer cleeeeean sheets. Remember that my pup-girls sleep with me. I also love doing laundry. Does that make me weird? I love folding & putting away clean laundry, & knowing that every single piece of clothing is clean & ready to wear.

2. Christmas is right around the corner, y'all! YAY! Have you started your Holiday shopping? Because I sure have! Last year, I had almost all my shopping done by December & it.was.glorious.

3. My lovie has been out of town {insert sad face} so on Sunday Lauren, Krista & I decorated for the most wonderful time of the year! We had Starbucks, watched Home Alone, & chatted it up about our Fredricksburg trip --- which I cannot wait for! I love my friends, they are so precious to me.

4. I know I talk about Starbucks all the dang time, but gosh darn it --- I love it! Especially in the winter. I'm lovin' the Peppermint mocha, but that Chai latte has really been making me smile lately.

5. I love Jesus. I really, really do. Last Friday night, I met up with Lauren to meet up with new friends! We prayed, kind of like a Bible Study? It's SO NICE to have girls that can keep me accountable, & just to talk about how good GOD IS! It's amazing, really. HE'S amazing.

6. I get to see my precious niece {& the rest of the fam-bam) in 8 days!!! I've been so homesick for them lately, & I could definitely use a break from this so called "city life" I live. Ha. Plus --- hellooooo it's THANKSGIVING for crying out loud! Can't wait to bake some new recipes with my momma & Nannie.

7. My sweet babies {pup-girls} are being groomed as we speak. It breaks my heart to leave them with strangers {I know, pathetic} but the poor things needed it!

8. Hopefully sometime this week we {friends, lover --- or both!} will make it to our local Holiday Happening! I love to do anything & everything related to the Holidays & this is perfect!

9. I got hit with the stomach bug ::again:: Sunday night, so needless to say, Monday was spent recuperating on the couch. No fun --- but a good feeling when you start to feel better! It's pretty OBVI my immune system hates me this cold/flu season. Grrrr.

10. My birthday is on Friday, & I can't wait to spend it with my lovelies! I've never been that big on celebrating my bday --- I hate being the center of attention, I really really hate surprises (call me Miss. Scrooge) so a low-key celebration is perfect for me.

Yayyyyy it's FRIDAY friends!!!!

 

If you're wondering, YES I am a brunette, & I love it!!! She didn't have time to cut it yesterday, so I'm going back in today to finish it up. Here is a quick pic, not a very good one, though. It's definitely going to take some time getting used to!

We were supposed to be going out of town this weekend so my love could play in a baseball tournament, BUT it was cancelled. Bummer... kind of. Waking up at 4am on a Saturday morning, driving 3 hours, & sitting all day in the sun doesn't sound as much fun as a full weekend with no plans! PLUS - it's my sweet puppy dogs BIRTHDAY!! Sweet thing will be 6 years young!!!

We are having a girls night tonight, which I'm SOOOO looking forward to! The rest of the weekend is up in the air, & I'm so excited!

I really want to see the movie Footloose, make my apple butter, plant some mums, maybe crock pot some chili, watch football, do a little fall shopping, & who knows what else.

Babies, Hair, & Fall

I've got lots of stuff to blog about! :) Shall we?

This past weekend home was unbelievably relaxing, & amazing. Pretty much..... I held my niece the entire time. She is such.a.doll. I'M SO IN LOVE, y'all. What will I be like when I have my OWN kids?!? ha!!

I die.

 My pup-girls were EXHAUSTED when we got home, I've never seen them sleep like that! Sweet thangs!

Besides that, I hung out with the fam, cooked with my mom, SLEPT IN, & giggled with my sissy. Great little get-a-way, life is so simple back home. Just the way I like it.

So who else is excited for Halloween??? I haven't dressed up in AGES (lame! i know), & so this is the year, people!! It's going to be a surprise though.

I really don't decorate for Halloween, besides my fall wreaths, pumpkins, & what-not. I'm a HUGE Christmas fanatic decorator! I did buy this fun stuff at Target yesterday, though. Apple cider & Halloweeny cupcakes anyone?? All while watching Hocus Pocus??? Yes, please! My friend Lauren & I were having a "Jesus convo" when I randomly said something about this apple cider, love that girl.

So, y'all all know me as a blonde, right? Right. I love, love, love my blonde hair, but unfortunately my natural color is a mousy brown. Sad, I know. I've been getting regular highlights put in for years, every.two.months & frankly I'm quite sick of it! Mainly because:

 When I can see just a tad bit of root, I freak. I feel gross, which can simply ruin a girls day. Pathetic? Probably.

The solution?

I'm going brunette, y'all!! ha! I'm thinking of doing something like this, with some caramel highlights.

I know, I know - IT'S JUST HAIR. Trust me, I know. But this is a pretty big change for me! And who knows, I may be blonde again in a couple of months. Can anyone relate??? My lover has ALWAYS loved my dark hair, so I'm going to surprise him. Hopefully he won't read this before hand. Anyways, I'll be taking before & after pictures for all you ladies. I'm quite excited! :)

Ok, so this post is totally rando but how much do y'all love the new ABC show, Pan Am?! It's definitely a new favorite of mine. I love the old 1950's look & the feel of the whole show.

But first. Do you like ketchup?? I do. I LOVE it. One of my BFF's Lauren, hates it. Can you beeeeeeee-lieve that?! She also hates ranch dressing. Ay yi yi. Love ya honeybun! :)

Moving on....

So besides cooing over my precious baby niece, I've been doing lots, well kind of. :) Thank you all for your sweet comments, I'm so in love with her.

I've been baking up a storm. I made strawberry/fall cupcakes last week. Last night I made pumpkin cupcakes, errr more like muffins. I found this super easy recipe on Pinterest, but had to add 2 eggs, & some milk.

I've been spending my entire Sonic drink budget on Starbucks lattes, & I'm OKAY with that. ;)

I'm been doing a little Fall shoppin' which is always a favorite of mine. Hehe.

Oh my goodness! Before I forget, I found these little balls of goodness at Target at one of my many trips, & they are awesome. They make my clothes smell.so.good. Ellie even thinks so.

Have I mentioned coffee is good?

The fair is here in town & I cannot wait to go! The best part if the food ACOURSE!


I've been scheming & planning for my loveheads birthday TOMORROW! I love birthdays, do you?

I can't wait for prayer tonight to worship my Jesus!! Sometimes I get overwhelmed by HOW MUCH HE LOVES US. It's amazing. HE is amazing, & forgiving & loving & He is ours, WE ARE HIS. I find comfort in that.
