And since I'm not leaving 'til later this evening, I simply could not forget about The Simple Things with Jesslyn. :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday, y'all! Boy, I have been one BUSY BEE as I'm sure you all have been, too. :) Now for some things I love thanks to the lovely Jaime...

I'm loving... vacay! The "real" one is at the end of this month! But I still consider going "home" vacation to me. :)

I'm loving... that I have a hair appointment on Tuesday right before we leave. I always feel like a bran new woman with freshly highlighted hair! I'm thinking about getting bangs like this. What do you think?

I'm loving... this new recipe Lauren & I tried out last night. Boo for lovehead working late, YAY for friends who don't! :) Anyhoo - this stuff is AMAZING. I love, love, LOVE cold pasta & this was SO easy. Please - TRY IT!!!

I'm loving... that my sister's baby shower is next Saturday! I'm in charge of these cuties, a diaper cake, & all the napkins, plates, etc. Monogrammed acourse! ;)

I'm loving... all the craftin' I will get to do when I'm home for a week.

This cute bow holder I'm making for my niece, along with another one with WAY more ribbon because this little girl already has more bows than I can count!

Love this. No pun intended, ha.

I would like to get different patterns of pink, & do this for my niece's room.

I'm loving... & last but not least, my retreat I have been patiently awaiting for. Ever heard of,  A Walk to Emmaus? I'm doing the Emmaus Chrysalis. The sweetest family I know here in L sponsors girls my age twice a year to go on this, & they picked me this go 'round! I have ALWAYS wanted to do a girls retreat for some time now, but was never sure how to get plugged in, or where one would be held.

My sponsors will pick me up on Thursday evening, take me to dinner & we will head out. It's about 30 minutes away from here, inside a beautiful canyon. Sally, the wifey sponsor will spend the weekend out there as she is very involved in it all. She explained it to me as a girls slumber party, & I love me one of those! :) She said the food, worship, & testimonies are all very overwhelming; in a good way. :)

I won't be taking my phone (GASP!!), a watch, or a camera. Yes, I am terrified. I won't know one single soul of there, besides Sally. Terrified again. I am actually really nervous, but very excited to spend almost 3 days with the Lord. Just me, God, beautiful surroundings, my Bible, & girls that want to grow in their relationship with Christ just as much as I do sounds wonderfully exciting.

I've heard nothing but amazing things about this retreat, & friendships you make that will last a lifetime. Please say a prayer for me! :)

Mexican, Margs, & My Girls

We had a girls night last night & let me just say - it was PERFECT. I love my friends so much, & it was SO NICE to just be able to hang out & have GIRL TALK!

We ate & had fun drinks at Abuelos, & then went out after. I didn't take too many pics, but here are some! :) Oh, and we were in bed by 12. That's how we roll. HA

We were going to eat breakfast this morning, & this is probably inappropriate but I thought it was hilarious. Love my Little Lauren.

I'm loving... that a Texas Rangers game & the beach is just a couple of weeks away!!!

I'm loving... this hat. Oh my word. I've been eyein' it for MONTHS now girls, literally. MONTHS. I can't wait to wear it to the beach with my sweet lover's momma! She is getting one, too. :)) And YOU can purchase one HERE. :) Not sure what colors I will get yet, though. I think I'm going to do a poll on 3 different ones because 1. I just can't choose, & 2. I would LOVE your opinions! So make sure to come back & vote! :)

I'm loving... mini bagels & cream cheese for breakfast, YuM!

I'm loving... I'm getting my carpets cleaned on Friday. I get it done probably every 6 months. I'm a clean freak, what can I say.

I'm loving... this sweet coffee mug one of my friends bought for me!

I'm loving... a new show on CMT called Texas Women, although so far they haven't done a great job portraying real Texas girls. :) yay for more reality TV, ha! 

I'm loving... they are doing a PACK the PACKS school drive at our church. I LOVE  me some school supply shopping, especially for kiddos who think a new pencil is a dream come true. You'll be getting lots of new pencils this year, sweet kids.

Weekend Fun

Don't ya just love weekends spent with loved ones doing things you love? :) Well, this weekend was perfect! Let's see....

I woke up bright & early Saturday morning to sweet little puppy snuggles....

Ate fro-yo with 2 friends.. 2 different times... at 2 different place.... ha!

Went to a super fun "fancy" Sports Bar Friday night with friends... OOTN. Super casual

Went to church on Sunday with some pretty awesome people... BTW - I've had that shirt for almost 2 years. It's from Target & I LOVE IT.

And then ate lunch at Cracker Barrel, followed by a 3 hour nap... :):)

It was a great "feel good" weekend! :) Happy Tuesday!

Sugar. Aww honey honey..../ Fill in the Blank Friday

...you are my candy girl. & you've got me wanting you.. This song SO reminds me of summer!!!

 

I'm a fall baby, but I love certain things about summer, ESPECIALLY sweet summer nights. Sigh. :) Since my lovey's brother is here, I've been hanging out with my lovely Lauren the past 2 nights. We have taken our sweet pups to the park, baked, gone to dinner & it just couldn't be more refreshing! :) We also planned out our work-out routine because we are both going to the beach end of August! Yay!

Here are some pics of night before last. We walk down this street with the coolest, old homes that I LOVE. It's so relaxing. I took Ellie one night, & Belle the night before - they are so hard to handle together. Ellie still hasn't quite got the hang of walking on a leash.

Then we went back to her house & baked! Brownies (with diet coke as ingredients), strawberries, & whipped cream. YUM.

After that, it was time for softball! Brothers....

I was a happy girl with my sno-cone! My sweet girlfriends showed up later, needless to say we didn't watch much of the game. :)

We all went to a sports bar after & had a nice, cold beer & wings. I was one tired girl this morning when my alarm went off at 6. It was a LONG day, so it was nice to come home to an empty home, ice-cream, a glass of wine, and Real Housewives of New York City.

And I simply cannot forget about Fill in the Blank Friday!!!

1. I am a (morning, evening, middle of the day person)... Hmmm, I always wondered this about myself, but I like something about every part of the day! Morning: my coffee, devotion. Middle: Knowing you're almost done! Lunch with friends... Evening: perfect time to unwind, watch your shows, dinner, etc. :)

2. My favorite Pandora stations are... Lots! Love my Christian bands, throw in some summer country, a little hip hop to get yourself going, Colby Colait, etc

3. 3 of my "must-have" songs for a road trip play list are... Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl, & ANYTHING summer country!

4. My favorite pattern is... Hmmm. Would it be better if I told you with pictures? :)

6. Rules are... there for a reason, & I usually don't like breaking them, hehe.

7. My most overused phrase or punctuation is... "I'm not even kidding" or "Seriously" ha!

 We have a fun, but relaxing weekend planned & I'm stoked! :) Happy Weekend sweet thangs! :)
