Say a little prayer for me...

If y'all could all just STOP what you're doing ....right now...and say a quick prayer for my grandmother (my 'Nannie') I would REALLY REALLY appreciate it.

I'm home again this weekend with my boyfriend, and when we arrived yesterday we got the news that my sweet Nannie had not been feeling so swell, so they admitted her to the hospital late afternoon. I went and saw her, & she is definitely in good spirits - just in a little pain & tired. So please, just pray that she recovers quickly, and they release her today. She will be lovin' all the spoilin' she'll be receiving!! Hehe.

4. Do you have a nickname? By my boyfran: Hun, babe, or bubble money (hehe). Friends: Jennie Ann - that's my real name, but sometimes they like the throw in the Ann ;)

5. What's a name you can't stand to be called? Can't think of one.

6. What are your Summer staples? The usual...BBQ, THE POOL, friends, roadtrips, flip flops, shorts, not having to wear any make up because your face is so pretty from all the sunlight, etc

7. What was the last thing you bought for yourself? A "raspa"...Spanish for snow cone....the BEST RASPA I HAVE EVEERRRRRRR HAD here in my small little hometown....

8. Are you happy with your boob size? Hahaha....YES! No bigger, no smaller...they're prefect. LOL! That made me giggle.

Happy Day

Hey everyone! Well, it's Saturday, April 24th and I've been waiting for this morning/day for about a month now - me and my BFF Kelsy are headed to Beth Moore's live broadcast on her book, So Long Insecurities and I am BEYOND EXCITED!!! :)) I can't wait to tell y'all allllll about it!!

I'm in my hometown where the bluebonnets are in FULLLLLLLLLL BLOOM!!! Ahhh, my favorite flower that can't be picked - leaving me more to gaze at. I'm sitting here at my grandparents house with my cup-o-coffee and devotional, nuzzled in the mountains, dew everywhere, birds chirping, the sun peakin' out, and my puppy dog, Belle still snoozin' (not a morning dog what.so.ever). I know, sounds like a perfect place to be right? IT IS. Being home is one of my favorite places to be on this earth. Hehe. I am missing my other half a whole, whole lot though! I just love him. :):):)

Don't you just get all giddy inside looking at a field FULL of bluebonnets?? I do!!!

Thankful Thursday

Whew- what a whirlwind of a week! I'm happy to say it's almost over because I have a fun weekend planned. But until then, I will rejoice because this is the day that the Lord has made. :)

• I'm sooo thankful for all this rain!!! Praise the Lord, because we need it!! :):)
• I'm thankful for Barnes & Noble because that is currently where I reside, pretty much loving life. :)
• I'm thankful for BETH MOORE! OK, so I'm sure a lot of y'all read Kelly's blog, and you would all know she is going to Atlanta with blog friends to hear Beth's seminar over her book, So Long Insecurities WELL, our sweet little Baptist church in my hometown is hosting a  live pod-cast this Saturday from 9-3 & one of my BFF's from high school is going with me!!! YAY!!! I can not explain how excited I am. I get to go home, and I get to be inspired!!
• I'm so thankful for my friends. I know I probably say this a lot - but they are so sweet. We all had a heart-to-heart at my place last night, and it was beyond moving. :)
• I'm thankful for the LORD, especially right now. So I have been praying that a couple of my friends would come to church, have an open heart, etc. I started my Bible Study (Breaking Free) as you all know - and 2 of them never seemed very interested. Last night, they both broke down and told us they wanted to join, PTL!!!!!! So they bought the book today, we're going to hold off BS this week so they can get caught up, and we will start fresh next Wednesday!!! God does answer prayers.
• I'm thankful for all of YOU! Seriously...of all your advice, sweet words, loving posts, & prayers really do make my days a little better. Also, thanks for all the tips on the annoying-ness of THE pimple, LOL! So happy I joined the 'blog world.' :-D
• I'm thankful for MOVIES...haha. Don & I saw Date Night a couple of nights ago, and it was super cute.
• I'm thankful for fingernail polish. Another...'haha' But really - what can make a girl feel a little bit prettier, and a little more girly???

Random: I'm reading a chapter a day in a book called, The Purpose Driven Life, and it has strengthened my relationship with Christ more than I could have ever imagined. I HIGHLY recommend it to any of you!!! Anyways, I saw this and just had to share: "We are commanded to love each other, pray for each other, encourage each other, admonish each other, greet each other, serve each other, teach each other, accept each other, honor each other, bear each other's burdens, forgive each other, submit to each other, be devoted to each other, & many other mutual tasks. This is biblical membership! "

Going to church does not make you a Christian - that's what I always thought anywho. WRONG. Good people don't go to heaven, FORGIVEN people do.

IT WON'T GO AWAY!!!

Hello all my lovely blog friends!!!! OMG! I can not believe it's already TUESDAY!!!!! AHHH!! WHERE does the time go?? I've been sooooo busy, but in a very good way. :)

So last night as I was doing my nightly ritual of washing my face, taking out my contacts, doin' my white strips, and wondering WHYYYYY oh why on earth this little annoying pimple on my face will not go away?? UGH! AND THEN...

...a lightbulb went off in my head. Hello...this is why I have all of y'all!!! So my questions is: what kind of facewash do you guys use? Any in particuliar you just LOVE? Any spot treatments that have worked? In ALL of y'alls pictures - your faces are flawless....SO HELP A SISTA OUT! ;)

I usually only break out when I'm PMSing and well...I am. Another, UGH. Right now I'm using Aveeno, and then a Oil of Olay regenerist regiment before bed. I'm looking foward to reading the comments! So, have a great Tuesday! :)

Kindred Spirit. True love at first sight...

I found this blog through Short Southern Momma (thank you), and I LOVE IT!!!! I love her colors, the way she writes, & everything else.

1. What is your favorite vacation spot? I have ALWAYS wanted to go to Hawaii...& I hear its beautiful - so that would probably be my favorite vacation spot. :)

2. What are the three qualities that you most admire about your husband (or if you're not married what are the three qualities you would most desire in a man)? Hmm...well I have the boyfriend that I can't wait to marry - and 1. I love that I can totally be myself around him with no make-up on & a t-shirt and he still loves me unconditionally and STILL calls me beautiful, even though I really may not be, ha. 2. He has opened his entire heart and soul to God, commited his life to Christ, & our relationship with each other has changed so much because of it. I'm thankful that he's open to new ideas, especially when it comes to me 3. Well, I know this may be so cliche, but he is soooooo good to me. Sometimes I even think I may not deserve him, but then I remember that God brought is together when we were 9 years old for a reason :) He is always thinking of ways to make me smile, and is always, no matter what we're doing - concerned about my happiness...I really could go on and on and on....

4. What is your favorite color(or colors) and why? PURPLE! I love the color purple - it's so soothing to me. OH, and green :)

5. What is the funniest thing that happened to you in the last 24 hours? Haha, well I went to lunch today with about 6 of my girlfriends, and I swear everyone in the resturant was staring at us. I can't think of one particular thing, but we laughed the entire time :) :) :) :) :)

Muahahahaha. So Nicole & I picked our bridesmaids shoes that we will be wearing in her wedding May 30th (whooo-hooo) and they are SO CUTE. WELLLLLL - I was telling my boyfriend about them and this is how the convo went:

Me: Look!! We picked our shoes, and they are so cute!!

Don: Why are y'all picking them out now?? The wedding is so far away, there is NO way you will keep those

Me: Uhhhmmm well because 1. We're excited & that's why we're picking out stuff already, duh 2. ONE year is really not that much time to perfect one of the most important days of a BRIDES life, oh and the grooms and 3. No, we are not going to change our minds. BOO - YAA

Don: You're a woman. OF COURSE your minds will change.

Me: Oh ya, wanna bet???

Don: Uhh ya. No big deal. $500

Me: Ohhhh baby, it. is. ONNNN!!!!

I'm going for better or for worse, for richer or poorer to be $500 richer come April 30th. (or when I purchase them) I mean, take a look at these shoes. Would you change YOUR mind???

I saw this over at Neely's blog, and decided that maybe y'all need to get to know me a little better ;)

1. What color do you wear the most? I wear the colors of the rainbow :)
 
2. Would you rather have $10,000 dollars or a dream vacation? Hmm...I really have no idea! A dream vacay sounds amazing right now!

3. Do you have a weird, quirky or unusual habit? Haha, uhmmm...I have a REEEEALLY bad habit of picking all the mascera off my eye-lashes. My mom is always getting onto me about that. I also have to wash my hands as soon as I wake up in the morning...blame that on my ex-roommate, NICOLE! :P

4. I really need to start..........? I'm going to have to agree with Neely on this one, and say get back on my work-out routine. Like...a serious one.

5. What was the first blog you ever read? The Story of Audrey Caroline; Bring the Rain I laid in bed for 4 hours and bawled my eyes out

6. Do you collect anything? I really don't...oh wait! I have started a cross collection! :)

7. How old were you when you had your first kiss? Don Miller...yes he is still my boyfriend til this day. It was our freshman year in HS, we were both 14 at his house and I was scared to death...but apparently it took my breath away! :) :) :)

8. Do you text/twitter while driving? NO!!!!! And I see people doing it ALL the time and it drives me nuts. Did you know: 12,000 people were killed last year because of TEXTING WHILE DRIVING?!?! Think about it...

Gettin' to know me...

Well, the 5K went awesome this morning! I was so glad to have one of my best friends running by my side. I'm sorry we didn't get any pictures, but next time! :) Soooo before I go lay out in the beeeee--uuuu---tiful weather & take a 5 hr nap and munch on unhealthy food, I shall post some questions and answers, hehe. :)

1. Who would you want to play you in a movie of you life? Reese Witherspoon; because she is a real southern woman, a great mom, and just an overall beautiful woman inside and out :)

2. Did you ever go to summer camp? I went to Girl Scout camp! haha

3. What sends you running and screaming in the other direction? Mean people. Rude people. People that judge & think they're better than others. People that care about how much money they have & what they can do to flaunt it (GAG ME). Fake people. I have felt like running from some of them on more than one occasion! Yep - hey just being honest.


4. What is something you do that drives your spouse nuts? Well, not married...yet. But something that drives my boyfriend nuts? I just asked him and he said, "your need to feel like you have to be in control of EVERYTHING" hahaha...little does he know..I AM in control of everything! LOL!

  I'm thankful for LIFE! I thank God every single day for giving me air in my lungs, a good healthy heart, sight, ears to hear with, and legs to jump, sprint, skip, and run with because on Saturday we're runnin' a 5K!

  I'm thankful for my God. A loving God that never ceases to amaze me - He loves me no matter what, and provides me with way more than I deserve.

  I'm thankful for my sweet boyfriend who I love and also don't deserve sometimes. Yesterday morning he arrived at my house at 6:30am, made me breakfast and brought it up to my room - so thoughtful. :)

Wishful Wednesday!

Another Wishful has rolled around! This weeks topic?? DIET!

I wish' .... I had the willpower to stay on one particular diet, and it would be: TO JUST EAT HEALTHY, HA!

Mmmkay so maybe that IS a little broad, BUUUTTT it's so true. I'm not kidding when I say I have some of the worst eating patterns, ever! I love, lets see - fast food, junk food, carbs (ohhh carbs), anything with pasta, candy, chocolate, CHEEEEEESE, I love myself a nice big ol' cheeseburger. Ok, I'll stop there, haha.

I wish that I LIKED eating fruits and veggies (which I do, I just prefer the other stuff) everyday, and all that other healthy junk. Hahaha. I'm on a diet right now, and let me tell ya, I'M NOT LOVIN' IT!!!!! Oh well, maybe one day I'll get to where I eat healthy 24/7...MAYBE. :)

Why yes, I AM going to check off my 'to-do' list on my blog!

Because I'm a procrastinator, here's a list of things I need to get done today, hehe

• Run
• Spring clean!!
• Give my sweet pup a bath
• Stuff my fat little face with some PEEPS, haha. Because I love Easter candy!
• Get caught up on some homework - yuck!
• Market Street to buy all the food and goodies for tomorrow
• Boil the eggs so we can decorate them, yay!
• Buy some lilies because well, it's just not Easter without them! :)
